Here are two small paintings of mine that are currently in the racks at the Bridgette Mayer Gallery. These were completed last summer, sometime in June. They are unique in that they lie outside of other bodies of work that I've made recently. They are outgrowths of my interest in patterns-accumulative/chaotic and more regimented-sharing the same space, distinct in appearances, but creating dialogues across their outward boundaries nonetheless.

Nice work, Tim!
Thanks, Paul!
I love the look of these two pieces, and am curious... are the printed patterns painted too? or are the geometric shapes painted directly on to printed fabric?
Thank you.
@Simon: Thank you! The patterns are the result of multiple layers of stenciling (with acrylic paint), sanding, then more stenciling. The final shapes are then painted on top. There is no fabric involved in this process.
